A car of mass 1200 kg is travelling at a speed of 20 m/s. Its kinetic energy is given by the formula KE = 1/2 * m * v^2. So, KE = 0.5 * 1200 * 20^2 = 0.5 * 1200 * 400 = 240,000 J or 240 kJ.
